Terms and conditions
The terms on which we provide this website and our home care services. Please read them before booking care.
Effective date: 29 August 2026. These terms replace any earlier version.
The short version. This website gives general information about home care. Booking care is a separate step: you get a written care plan and service agreement first, and those documents govern the care itself. If anything below conflicts with your signed service agreement, the service agreement wins.
1. Who we are
All Well Care (“All Well Care”, “we”, “us”) provides home care services to seniors and adults with special needs in Edmonton and surrounding communities in Alberta, Canada.
You can reach us at info@allwellcare.ca or 587-ALLWELL (587-255-9355).
2. These terms, and when they apply
These terms apply when you use this website and when you enquire about or receive our services. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Care itself is provided under a separate written care plan and service agreement signed by you or your authorised representative. Where these terms and that agreement differ, the signed agreement takes precedence for matters of service delivery, scheduling and fees.
3. About the information on this website
The content on this site is general information about home care in Alberta.
We work to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, error-free or up to date at any given moment. Descriptions of government programs, including Client-Directed Home Care Invoicing, are provided for general orientation; the authoritative source is Alberta Health Services and your case manager.
4. The services we provide
All Well Care provides personal care and home support services, delivered by Health Care Aides (HCAs) and Personal Support Workers (PSWs). These include personal care and hygiene assistance, companionship, meal preparation and assistance, household duties and light housekeeping, medication reminders, respite for family caregivers, support for people living with dementia or arthritis, accompaniment and incidental transportation, appointment assistance, home support, and 24-hour or live-in care.
Our services are limited to those set out in your written care plan and service agreement, and to tasks within the scope of practice of a Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker in Alberta. Where a task requires a regulated health professional, it falls outside that scope and outside this agreement.
If your needs fall outside what we provide, we will tell you and, where we can, point you toward an appropriate service. We may decline or discontinue service where we reasonably believe the care required is beyond our scope, or where a home cannot be made reasonably safe for our staff.
5. Enquiries, consultations and forms
Submitting a form on this site, or contacting us by phone or email, is an enquiry. It does not create a service contract and does not guarantee that care can be provided, or provided by a particular date.
The in-home consultation and the written care plan that follows are provided free of charge and place you under no obligation to proceed.
Please do not send detailed health records, government identification numbers or financial account details through our web forms. Sensitive information is better given by phone or in person. How we handle what you do send is set out in our privacy policy.
6. Fees, quotes and payment
Fees for privately paid care are set out in writing in your care plan before care begins. We do not add services or hours without your agreement. Where a service is optional, your plan will say so.
Invoices are payable on the terms stated in your service agreement. We will tell you in advance of any change to your rates, and any change takes effect only from the date stated in that notice.
7. CDHCI and publicly funded hours
Client-Directed Home Care Invoicing is an Alberta program. Eligibility, the number of hours approved, and what those hours may be used for are determined by Alberta Health Services through a case manager’s assessment — not by All Well Care. We can explain the process, help you prepare, and deliver care once hours are approved, but we cannot approve hours, guarantee approval, or guarantee any particular number of hours.
Where you have approved hours and have named us as your provider, we invoice those hours through the program rather than to you. Any additional privately paid hours are optional, quoted in writing beforehand, and invoiced separately.
8. Your right to cancel
Under Alberta’s Consumer Protection Act, where a contract for services is solicited, negotiated or signed somewhere other than the supplier’s usual place of business — which includes a care plan signed in your own home — you generally have 10 days from receiving your copy of the signed contract to cancel it, without reason and without penalty. The period runs from the day after you receive your copy.
To cancel, tell us in writing. Email info@allwellcare.ca, or write to the address given in your service agreement. Your agreement sets out the full cancellation terms, including how notice is given for scheduled visits after that period, and nothing in these terms reduces any cancellation right the legislation gives you.
9. Scheduling, access and your home as a workplace
Care depends on our caregivers being able to reach and safely work in the home. By booking care you agree to:
- Provide safe and lawful access to the home at the scheduled times, and tell us how entry is arranged
- Tell us about hazards we should know about — unsafe stairs or flooring, faulty equipment, firearms in the home, or anything else that could cause injury
- Tell us about pets, and restrain any animal that may be a risk to a caregiver
- Provide a reasonably safe and respectful working environment, free from harassment, threats and discrimination
- Tell us promptly of changes that affect care, including a hospital stay, a new diagnosis, a change in medication, or a change in who may authorise care
Our caregivers may leave, and we may suspend service, where a home is unsafe or where a caregiver is subjected to harassment, abuse or discrimination. We will tell you if that happens and why.
Smoking, vaping and the use of cannabis or other substances in shared air during a visit may make a home unsafe to work in; please discuss any such situation with us before care begins so we can plan around it.
10. Our caregivers
Our caregivers are screened before placement, including a criminal record check, and work to a written care plan. To protect both you and them, our caregivers must not:
- Accept gifts, loans, tips of significant value, or any bequest or inheritance from a client
- Be appointed to act under a power of attorney, as a personal directive agent, or as an executor for a client
- Handle a client’s banking, cards or PINs, beyond an agreed errand recorded in the care plan
- Provide any service outside the care plan and outside our scope
Please do not ask a caregiver to do any of these things, and tell us if one is ever offered or requested. Arrangements made privately and directly with a caregiver fall outside your service agreement, outside our supervision and outside our insurance.
11. Using this website
The content, design, text, graphics and code of this site belong to All Well Care or our licensors and are protected by Canadian and international copyright law. You may read, print and share pages for your own personal or family use. You may not copy, republish, sell or adapt any part of the site for commercial purposes without our written permission.
You agree not to misuse the site: no attempting to gain unauthorised access, no interfering with its operation, no automated scraping or bulk collection, no submitting false information or another person’s details without their authority, and no uploading anything harmful.
Where we link to another organisation’s website, we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.
12. Insurance, liability and your legal rights
All Well Care carries commercial general liability insurance and maintains workers’ compensation coverage as required in Alberta. Details are available on request.
To the extent permitted by law, this website is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, or from reliance on general information published on it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded or limited. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and any rights, warranties or remedies you have under Alberta’s Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer legislation. Nothing here is intended to reduce those rights, and if any part of these terms would have that effect, that part does not apply to you.
Liability arising from the delivery of care is addressed in your service agreement.
13. Concerns and complaints
If something goes wrong, tell us. Call 587-255-9355 or email info@allwellcare.ca and ask for the Executive Director. We will acknowledge your concern, look into it, and come back to you with what we found and what we are doing about it.
Raising a concern will never affect the care you receive. If your care is publicly funded, you may also raise concerns with your Alberta Health Services case manager, and privacy concerns may be taken to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies, and the effective date at the top tells you when it took effect. Where a change materially affects clients receiving care, we will tell you directly rather than relying on this page.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada. The courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
